El Libro Negro.

Greetings,

In between work and tooling away at Gun episode 2, I've been keeping my artist's brain going at full speed thanks to a jolt of unprecedented dedication on my part. I did this simply by purchasing a new sketchbook - simple, small & effective; a visual journal serving as a receptacle for the innumerable ideas and concepts that sprout in my mind on a daily basis. I've taken to calling it "The Black Book." Lately I've made it a habit to carry this thing wherever I go and always take time to stop and illustrate whatever's in my head. It's turning into quite a little book already, and I've only been at it for about a week.

I'll be sure to post some pages from the black book here soon. For now, it's just blog news, kids.

Forestry.

Hi there,

Quick update here. I recently spent some time over on the West coast in Nevada & Cali, relaxing and pretending the stresses of real life don't exist, at least for a week & a half. While out there, I began working on a new piece, in keeping with the childhood themes that seem to have been pervading all of my work of late. I continued working on it as I ventured from LAX to JFK, breaking out the Wacom tablet in the departure lounge during my epic 4-hour layover.  After getting back to the apple, I put the finish on it like Minwax.

I completed this one well over a week ago, but here it is now. I kind of forgot to up it once I finished because I had other shit going on. These things happen. Anyway, enjoy.
